Hlekani lodge is a peaceful, open-plan family-style lodge, rich in birdlife and vegetation. In the main lodge area there is a lounge, bar and dining facilities that lead out to the pool and wooden veranda, showing views of the reserve as well as a dam where the Impala, Nyala, and Zebra come to drink, and often can be seen playing, rolling or resting below the lodge. Occassionally the Lion or Cheetah will pass by or we will get a sneaky Hyena come and visit, searching for scraps under the moon.
Each room has an ensuite bathroom, and the option of an outside shower for those who would like to be closer to Nature. Comfortably decorated, with amenities such as Espresso machines, kettle and bar fridge for those early mornings or lazy afternoon naps. Each room has it's own personality and each piece of decor, or wall art is chosen with care and often with a story to tell.

The cuisine is South African based but with international flair and influence. The menu is seasonal and each dish has been carefully thought out and reviewed. Our meals are served either under the stars around a campfire in the Boma, or in the dining area over looking the dam.
In the main part of the lodge, there is a 2nd pool where guests can have a lazy slow lunch around the pizza oven with our fresh homemade woodfired Pizza, while the kids play and swim nearby. 
All safely nestled within the fenced garden where the wildlife can be observed, but are not invited in!
